Spiritbelly is visiting the most secluded village in Corsica. Girolata is located in the Nature Reserve of Scandola. The nature reserve, which is part of the Regional Natural Park of Corsica, occupies the Scandola peninsula, an impressive, porphyritic rock mass. The vegetation is an outstanding example of scrubland. Seagulls, cormorants and sea eagles can be found there. The clear waters, with their islets and inaccessible caves, host a rich marine life.

Connected by a mere mule track and by boat to the rest of the island, the tiny fishing haven of Girolata has a dreamlike quality that’s highlighted by the vivid red of the surrounding rocks. A short stretch of beach and a few houses are dominated by a castle, built by the Genoese later in the sixteenth century.

To preserve the beauty of the village, no hotels were built in Girolata. Spiritbelly will host the getaway in the rustic and charming bed & breakfast (shared rooms, 4 people). On the menu : Kayak, boat ride in the Nature reserve, hike to the old sheepfolds, yoga facing the 16th century castle and organic & healthy corsican cuisine.

The rates include accomodation, all the meals (organic cuisine & 3 nights out to the best restaurants in Girolata), eco-tours (boat, kayak, hike...), the yoga, the pilates & the cooking classes, transfers from and to the Col de la Croix.

It doesn’t include airfare, transfers between Calvi Airport and Col de la Croix (10 € by bus, 100 € by taxi) and alcoholic beverages.
